Right To Life

Mother Teresa once said:
"I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a woman can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?"
The unborn are the most innocent and vulnerable members of our society. The U.S. Constitution already protects life and I have sworn to uphold that constitution.
During my time in Congress I have consistently voted for the cause of life and have worked to end pro-abortion policies. My efforts to end abortion were recognized when I received a 100% rating from the National Right to Life Committee.
As a nation we must return to being a society that cherishes unborn life. Abortion is a direct assault on the dignity of human life, and you can rest assured that I will continue to challenge legislation supporting abortion.

Last week President Obama delivered his State of the Union address to the nation. I was pleased with the president's tone throughout his speech and his praise for the critical energy mission that is ongoing at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Unfortunately, most of his speech was much of the same rhetoric and failed promises we have heard before.
