Chuck Fleischmann comments on President Obama’s budget
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Chuck Fleischmann commented on President Obama’s budget proposal for fiscal year 2012.
“The President has continued his agenda of ‘tax, spend, borrow, tax, spend, borrow’ with his proposed budget for 2012. While he talks about wanting to tackle the deficit problem in this country, he continues to act as if he has no concern at all. Introducing a budget that creates a deficit of $1.6 trillion for 2012, and has $8.7 trillion in new spending, is not addressing the problem – it is prolonging it,” Fleischmann said.
“The President is again ignoring the message sent loud and clear by the American people this past November. I plan to work to hold him accountable while also cutting spending. The path we are on is not sustainable, and the President’s budget is more of the same. This must be stopped.”
