WASHINGTON− Today, President Obama sent his formal request for Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) against ISIS to Congress. In response, Rep. Chuck Fleischmann released the following statement.
WASHINGTON− This morning, Rep. Chuck Fleischmann questioned the Secretary of the Army Corps of Engineers, Jo-Ellen Darcy, on issues regarding the Inland Waterways Trust Fund. In particular, the questions addressed funding issues impacting the Chickamauga Lock.

WASHINGTON− Rep. Chuck Fleischmann released the following statement in response to President Obama’s proposed budget for FY2016.
“Much like in his State of the Union speech, the President has taken an opportunity to work with Congress and turned it into a partisan game. This budget would increase spending by $2.4 trillion, never balances and simply isn’t a real option. As Tennessee’s sole House Appropriator, I will use my oversight responsibility to comb through the President’s request and ultimately make sure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and responsibly.”
WASHINGTON− Today, the Department of Energy (DOE) announced Sue Cange will serve as the new Manager for the DOE’s Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management. After the announcement, Rep. Fleischmann released the following statement.
“I would like to congratulate Sue Cange on becoming the new Manager for the DOE’s Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management. Sue has a strong background in Environmental Management and has done a great job as Acting Manager. I look forward to continuing to work with her on nuclear cleanup in Oak Ridge.”
