Chattanooga, TN – U.S. Representative Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03), current Chairman of Energy and Water Appropriations, released the following statement after being selected to serve a second consecutive term as Chairman of Energy and Water Appropriations.
Washington, D.C. – Today, Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03) and the House Appropriations Committee released the Fiscal Year 2025 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies appropriations bill. The bill will be considered in subcommittee tomorrow, June 28th, at 8:30 am EST.

If Rep. Chuck Fleischmann's advocacy in Congress had to be summed up in a single word, it would be "nuclear."
That's not just nuclear power plants and nuclear weapons, but nuclear cleanup as well. Fleischmann's influence over nuclear projects is tied to his role as an appropriator in the House of Representatives overseeing funding to the Department of Energy.
