STATEMENT: Fleischmann on Release of Tax Cuts and Jobs Act

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03) released the following statement upon the release of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:

"House Republicans have advocated for a fairer, simpler tax code, and today's release of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act marks a major milestone in delivering on that promise. This plan greatly simplifies our tax code and will ensure hardworking Tennesseans keep more money in their pockets. Additionally, this plan finally addresses the burdensome taxes on our businesses that have stifled growth and led to more and more of our jobs being shipped overseas. This plan will dramatically decrease both the corporate and small business tax rates, allowing for more competition, economic growth, and job creation. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act presents a tax plan that works for, not against, American families and businesses."
