Fleischmann Travels with President Trump to Southern Border: "I hope to hear from the men and women in the trenches and gain a firsthand perspective of the humanitarian crisis threatening our nation."

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03) released the following statement ahead of his trip with President Trump to Calexico, California.

"As I travel with President Trump to the border today, I hope to hear from the men and women in the trenches and gain a firsthand perspective of the humanitarian crisis threatening our nation. The spike in migration numbers is staggering and should sound the alarm to all Americans. I support the President as he works to build the wall along our southern border and stem the tide of deadly drugs, human trafficking, and illegal immigration pouring into our country."

Congressman Fleischmann is the Top Republican on the House Appropriations Homeland Security subcommittee. The Congressman previously traveled to the southern border in February. More information from that visit can be found here.
