STATEMENT: Fleischmann Remarks on Border Security at Hidalgo Port of Entry

HIDALGO COUNTY, TX – Congressman Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03) issued the following statement upon conclusion of the tour of the Hidalgo Port of Entry:

"The first stop on my visit to the southern border was eye-opening and incredibly informative," said Congressman Fleischmann. "To have the first-hand experience to tour the southern border at the Hidalgo Port of Entry and view the border security structures located there further underscores the need for additional physical barriers at other high risk locations. In addition, I was able to speak with border security agents to better understand the situation from the men and women who are the experts. The insight they provided will be critical to future discussions regarding border security. I look forward to continuing my visit along the southern border in the days to come."
