Rep. Fleischmann Questions Secretary of Defense Austin about Modernizing America's Nuclear Arsenal

Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, Chairman of the Energy and Water Subcommittee of Appropriations, was appointed to the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and took part in his first Defense Hearing today, April 17, 2024.

Chairman Fleischmann questioned Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin about the timeline for modernizing America's nuclear deterrent. Rep. Fleischmann noted that we are seeing Russia and China aggressively expand their nuclear arsenals and Iran sadly making progress in their nuclear program.
