Fleischmann Votes To Establish Select Committee To Investigate Benghazi Attack
WASHINGTON− This evening, the House of Representatives voted to create a select committee to investigate the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack at the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya. After the vote, Congressman Fleischmann released the following statement.
“It’s been nearly two years since four brave Americans were brutally murdered and yet, we still do not have a full understanding of the horrific events that occurred at our consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The American people and this Congress have repeatedly asked for answers, but the Obama administration continues to conceal crucial facts and prohibit access to essential documents. It is time we put an end to the administration’s games. Since the beginning, I have fought to uncover the truth and am pleased that the House has voted to establish a select committee to investigate the attack and the administration’s response.”
