Congressman Fleischmann Statement On Watts Bar Nuclear Plant Announcement

WASHINGTON− Congressman Chuck Fleischmann released the following statement today following the announcement by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission that TVA has been issued an operating lease for Watts Bar Unit 2.

“It comes as tremendous news that Watts Bar Unit 2 has been awarded an operating license. Watts Bar 2 will be America’s first new 21^st century nuclear reactor and will provide clean inexpensive, reliable power for East Tennessee.”
