Congressman Chuck Fleischmann votes to protect the life of the unborn

June 18, 2013

WASHINGTON− Congressman Chuck Fleischmann voted for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This bill establishes a nationwide prohibition on aborting unborn children that have surpassed 20 weeks gestation.

“All life is precious, and we as members of Congress must fight to protect the unborn in every lawful manner. Tonight, we passed crucial legislation that will put an end to the brutal reality of late term abortion. At week 20, babies born prematurely can and do survive. As a staunch advocate of the right to life, and proud cosponsor of this bill, I am pleased that the House stood firm in protection of the unborn and voted to pass this lifesaving legislation”
