Chuck Fleischmann to volunteer in storm-ravaged areas, urges others to help

April 29, 2011

CHATTANOOGA – Congressman Chuck Fleischmann will be serving lunch at the Red Cross shelter at the South Chattanooga Recreation Center and will be removing debris in Bradley County on Saturday, April 30.

“After seeing the damage first-hand yesterday, I know how critically important it is for us as a community to continue coming together and help our neighbors. I encourage others to join me this weekend as we work to serve those in need and clean up the areas damaged by the storms. We have already seen how resilient our community is over the last few days, and I have no doubt that resiliency will continue over the next few weeks and months,” Fleischmann said.

“I also want to encourage those who are able to make a donation to the Chattanooga Area Red Cross to do so. They must continue to have the resources they need to help East Tennesseans who were most affected by the storms, and a donation will make sure that happens. Together we will get through these trying times and grow as people and as a community.”
