Chuck Fleischmann Presides Over House of Representatives
January 10, 2011
WASHINGTON, D.C. – In his first week as a new congressman, Chuck Fleischmann has presided over the House of Representatives two different times. Congressman Fleischmann presided over the House on the evening of January 6, and in the afternoon of January 7.
“I appreciate the House leadership allowing me to preside over this great body as we work to turn our country around. The vast majority of new representatives, such as me, are not asked to do this on multiple occasions this early in their first term, and I am thankful for being given this opportunity. It was a privilege to sit in the Speaker’s chair and work to make sure the House operated in an efficient way as we did the work of the people,” Fleischmann said.
