Chuck Fleischmann presents Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve awards

CHATTANOOGA – Congressman Chuck Fleischmann gave a brief speech and presented awards to several attendees at the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve annual luncheon.

“One of the foundations of our country is the idea of the citizen soldier. The man or woman who works a civilian job, but who gallantly responds to their country’s call. Our National Guard and Reserve forces do a tremendous job defending liberty alongside our active duty volunteers, a job they could not do without the support of their employers. These employers truly support the troops: They go without valuable employees for long periods, provide care packages and financial assistance, and ensure our servicemen can return to their jobs,” Fleischmann said.

“It is my pleasure and my honor to present theses award to such deserving employers. May God bless our troops, and may those who are serving overseas know that we miss you and hope you can come home soon.”
