Chuck Fleischmann leads YouCut program for the next week

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Starting today, Congressman Chuck Fleischmann will be leading the YouCut program for the next week, as the Republican-led House works to cut wasteful spending from the federal budget.

"Getting our fiscal house in order is one of the reasons I ran for Congress, and is important for the future of this country. This week I have offered three government programs for the American people to examine and vote on. Each program costs taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. After the votes are counted, I will introduce legislation to cut the program the American people say they believe is most wasteful. Together we can get this country back on the right fiscal path," Fleischmann said.

YouCut is a program started by the House Republican Conference, and allows American citizens to have a direct say in cutting wasteful government spending.
