Chuck Fleischmann joins other freshmen at press conference outside White House
WASHINGTON, D.C. –Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, and other freshmen members of Congress, held a press conference outside the White House today calling on President Obama to present his plan to deal with our debt crisis.
“While the Republican-led House of Representatives will be voting on legislation today that deals with our debt and prevents our country from defaulting, President Obama continues to play politics while not presenting any plan of his own. I was proud to join with other freshmen members of Congress outside of the White House in calling on President Obama to present his plan to deal with our debt crisis,” Fleischmann said.
“The fact is that the President is more interested in scoring political points for his re-election than dealing with our debt in a responsible manner. President Obama likes to make it a habit of lecturing others about being adults when it comes to our debt crisis, and now the adults are at the table and President Obama is nowhere to be found.”
