Chuck Fleischmann continues his “Chuck on the Job” initiative at Ace Hardware

CHATTANOOGA – Congressman Chuck Fleischmann worked a shift at Ace Hardware as part of his ongoing “Chuck on the Job” initiative.  In addition to working the cash register, he also worked in the gardening area, mixed paint, and assembled leaf blowers.

“’Chuck on the Job’ is a great way to interact with the people I represent in an informal setting, and also lets me see the challenges that businesses face every day.  It was a pleasure to speak to both the Ace customers and employees.  By listening to people’s concerns, I can represent them in Congress much more effectively,” Fleischmann said.

“Meeting with people at ‘Chuck on the Job,’ the major concerns I heard were jobs and gas prices.  When I grew up, I would hear that ‘Washington needs to do more.’  Now there is a realization that what Washington really needs is to do less: Less taxing, less regulating, and less restriction on developing our natural resources.”

Congressman Chuck Fleischmann worked a three hour shift at the Ace Hardware in East Brainerd.  This is his 12th “Chuck on the Job” since he began his term in Congress last January.
