House Passes Bill Restoring Veterans’ Benefits

WASHINGTON− Today, the House passed legislation to protect veterans’ benefits. Following passage, Congressman Fleischmann released the following statement.

“As the son of a WWII veteran, I am very proud of the action taken by the House to protect the men and women whom have served our country. The legislation passed today will preserve pensions and restore cost-of-living adjustments to those impacted by the budget compromise. As I said at the time, the budget deal was far from perfect and today we took a step towards fixing the legislation. Our military men and women should not fall victim to Washington’s budget woes, and I am proud of the steps taken by the House today.”
