Balanced Budget Puts America Back On Fiscally Responsible Track

April 30, 2015

Today, the House of Representatives passed the Conference Report to S. Con. Res. 11 – FY2016 Budget. After the vote, Rep. Chuck Fleischmann released the following statement.

“Today, we voted to prioritize hardworking Americans and return to a fiscally sound nation. This budget, the first of its kind since 2001, continues our promise to reform our government and make it more effective for American families. We voted today to protect seniors by preserving Medicare, to increase job growth by simplifying the tax code, and to rein in Washington by limiting federal regulations. Without raising taxes, this budget also balances and will help save our children from crushing debt. Today we took another step toward righting our fiscal ship and ensuring the American dream lives.”
