First and foremost, I believe we must secure our borders. By increasing the number of border patrol agents, utilizing advanced technology and prioritizing the laws already in place we can strengthen our border security. This will reduce the number of illegal immigrants entering our country.
While it is clear our nation’s current immigration system needs change, it is a complex issue that must be addressed by our lawmakers and the American people. Any change to the laws must come from Congress and not the executive branch.
During my time in Congress I have called for substantial and comprehensive reforms. Please know I will continue to make the safety of American citizens a top priority as I fight to secure our borders and enforce existing immigration laws.
